E-Tour of Britain Competitor Bios: The Stores Racking up the Scores

Now that the Raleigh E-Tour of Britain is well underway, let’s take a closer look at our competitors.

Raleigh stores up and down the country are competing in a virtual race fuelled by customer test rides. We wanted to get more people to try out the Raleigh Motus whilst having a little fun in the process.

So, let’s see who’s leading the pack so far:

Shaun Crowther opened a bike shop out of the closure of Totalsport in Jersey in 2015. As a keen racing cyclist from a cycle racing family, it seemed like an obvious path to take.

With the invaluable help of Nick Steel and June Stead at Jersey Business, a business plan was hatched. With further help from Colin Macleod, Jim Plumley and Carl Winn at the Channel Island Co-operative Society, Raleigh UK and some fantastic guidance from Peter Fosse at Social Security the plan came to fruition and the store opened on the 30th October that year.

Since 2018, Co-Op Bikes now occupy a purpose built store directly opposite Co-op Grande Marche` in St Peter which opened on the 7th of April 2018.
