'Fix Your Bike' Voucher
Scheme Launches
The UK Government has launched a new scheme in England where you can get free bike repair vouchers.
Got an old gem in need of some TLC? So many of us have an old bike sitting in the back of the shed, once our trusty transport method, since been left to go to ruin. Perhaps you’ve seen a second hand bargain online but don’t want to fork out more for repairs than the bike is worth? Now is the time to embrace those opportunities.
Dig out your trusty bicycle and give it a new lease of life with the new ‘Fix your bike’ scheme. The Department for Transport has announced this new scheme to get people back on their bikes with a £50 voucher towards cycle repairs.
To take advantage of this scheme, simply register your details on the scheme website, claim your voucher and find your nearest participating repairer to make your bike roadworthy. The scheme will be rolled out in batches to ‘manage capacity’ the government has said and initially, the vouchers will be available for 50,000 claims. The scheme is only available in England.
