Training Manager

As part of Accell Group, Europe’s leading bicycle and cycling accessories business we are now seeking a Training Manager to join our team based in our distribution at Eastwood, Nottinghamshire.

Reporting to the Technical Manager the newly created role of Training Manager will offer industry leading technical training and warranty support to staff and dealers for the complete range offered by Raleigh UK. It will require Maintaining online training content for Myagi platform. The Training Manager will provide support and work on quality improvement projects and co-ordinate technical information for new product launches.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Dealer training on and off site at Dealers premises
  • Provide training onsite at Raleigh – for specific brands i.e. Haibike, Lapierre, Raleigh & P&A
  • Raleigh / Group specific systems (tranzX / emotion / ebike motion / Fazua / Flyon)
  • Supplement Bosch training for dealers & help co-ordinate onsite Bosch training internally
  • Provide Internal staff training as required
  • Prepare and roll out technical information for product launches
  • Provide training workshops and assessments
  • Provide product and technical training to new starters
  • Provide 1-2-1 Dealer Store training (approximately 20 days per year)
  • Maintain online training content on Myagi platform writing for Raleigh and P&A channels
  • Monitor and report on Myagi training records
  • Produce training plans for new dealers
  • Develop and maintain a training calendar
  • Act as Key train the trainer
  • Liaise with technical teams at group level
  • Product launch support on site /offsite (drop- in / how-to sessions)
  • Provide technical blog writing
  • Produce technical instruction writing
  • Attend and support train the trainer events
  • Any other duties within the scope of the role

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • To be successful in this role you must have an excellent level of bicycle product knowledge, particularly e-bikes
  • It is essential you have previous experience within a customer facing role, and the ability to build rapport using your excellent communication skills across all channels
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as a good understanding of Microsoft office
  • With your positive can-do attitude, you will take the initiative in the pursuit of delivering excellent training
  • The role of Training Manager will require travel throughout the UK and some travel overseas
