First Line Support/Network Administrator

The First Line Support/Network Administrator provides assistance, guidance and support to the whole of Raleigh UK’s IT infrastructure including, telecommunications, security and ensuring the integrity of the company’s data whilst interacting with both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilites & Accountabilities

  • Provide technical support – answering support queries either onsite or remotely via the Fresh Service Helpdesk
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries adhering to all service management principles
  • Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues
  • Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems
  • Allocate more complex issues to the relevant IT support team member
  • Reach out to technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house
  • Troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues
  • Make repairs and perform scheduled updates on both client & LAN applications
  • Responsible for Liaise with external suppliers for purchasing IT equipment & consumables and services within budget
  • Any other duties within reasonable scope of the role

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Microsoft Windows (V7 upwards)
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and versions upward including AD
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • VOIP/SIP Telecommunications
  • Firewall Experience (currently Watchguard)
  • Network Security
  • Office365
  • VMware
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills is essential
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT issues
  • Experience of Azure / Veam would be advantageous but not essential
