Area Account Manager

Reporting to the Head of IBD Sales

Established in Nottingham in 1887 Raleigh is one of the world’s oldest and best-known bicycle brands. We are part of the Accell Group, a European based company, who own a collection of bicycle and accessory brands throughout Europe.

Today Raleigh supplies the UK market with the major industry-leading bicycle brands of Raleigh, Haibike and Lapierre, as well as an exciting and extensive portfolio of accessories such as SRAM, MET and Schwalbe.

Our partnership with the Accell Group allows us to share knowledge, technology and innovations between brands to deliver the best possible product for our customers.

As the most well-known UK bicycle brand, we aren’t resting on our laurels but are, after a highly successful 2020 planning further growth in 2021. We are now seeking a highly professional Area Account Manager to join our team who will be based in the area to help drive forward sales to the independent retail sector.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • To manage and service our stockist network within the defined area

  • To present and implement new product ranges

  • To manage and support each account to maximise sales & opportunities

  • Work to the agreed KPI’s set out by the business

  • Provide training & retail development in conjunction with other depts

  • Feedback market/product trends

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • A strong Account Management track record

  • A detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the independent retailers in the area

  • A result oriented and independent outlook focused on securing, retaining and growing a profitable account base

  • An ability to think strategically with the skills to agree and execute rock solid account plans with your customers based on their business needs

  • A talent for effective communication with well-developed presentation, negotiation and rapport building skills

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • A keen interest in cycling
