Reporting to the Logistics Manager

Job Purpose

To provide timely and accurate data maintenance and maintain a high level of standards to deal with queries from external & internal suppliers as well as having an attention to detail for all administrative matters, this will include shipping instructions and shipping paperwork for both the logistics providers companies and customers for export purposes, you must have a detailed working knowledge of the export process to ensure accuracy of detail, you will take a proactive role in ensuring all customer orders are collected and delivered on time to the correct customers for Export purposes you will be liaising with Distribution Centre staff as well as other internal Departments.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Operate our ERP system ACE to fulfil the business requirements (Training will be provided)

  • Raise purchase orders and carry out the related administration processes.

  • Source all material products required to carry out the Distribution Centre processes from external suppliers.

  • Liaise with suppliers regarding the price of material supplies and ensure their invoices are accurate in terms of price and quantity received.

  • Ensure all computer transactions processed and documents produced are accurate and timely.

  • Keep and create all Export paperwork up to date and make sure the accuracy covers government legislation.

  • Liaise with other internal and external functions as required.

  • Ensure the Logistics Manager is regularly briefed and kept up to date.

  • Provide a clear line of communication and support between our clients and products with Export criteria.

  • Maintain all export paperwork and documents to a high standard.

  • Any other reasonable duties with the scope of the role.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills across internal and external channels and ability to build rapport is essential.

  • You must have the ability to organise and prioritise work with the minimum of supervision as well as attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Microsoft Office including intermediate excel ability is essential.

  • Experience of ERP systems are desirable, but not essential as training will be provided

  • You must possess the necessary skills to undertake the end to end process of export documentation and have a good understanding of government legislation.
