Chrome Aero Pro Burner

Chrome Aero Pro Burner

Key Features

Bear Trap Pedals

Watch out for those shins ! A Bear Trap pedal matched to a waffle sole shoe can create an almost unmoveable grip. Today’s BMX racer’s use clip-in pedals & shoes but in the 1980’s these were the closest thing in terms of grip.

Dia-Compe Brakes

Brakes have changed as the years have passed by, but MX-1000 is the brake to have on your old-school BMX. Matched to the MX-1000 callipers are the legendary TECH 3 brake levers from Dia-Compe for performance stopping power.

Kashimax Aero Saddle

It’s not an old-school BMX without the Kashimax Aero! Still hand made in Japan to the same high quality as they always have been; finished with the Raleigh logo in chrome foil to match the 80’s original.

Sealed Bearing Hubs

Smooth and silent rolling, these hubs feature sealed cartridge bearings. The hub shell has been made to replicate the 1980’s shape used on the original Aero Pro Burner.

Tange MX-125 Headset

The crown jewel of BMX headsets now complete with sealed bearings. Tange not only made some of the best frames but also the best headsets of the 1980’s.

Tioga Comp3 Tyres

The most popular tyre in BMX history, the Tioga Comp3 tread pattern is pure Bicycle Moto X. Fitted alongside the Comp3’s are polished aero section rims remade to replicate the 1980’s shape used on the original.

Chrome Aero Pro Burner

Chrome Aero Pro Burner

Originally launched in 1983, the Chrome Aero Pro Burner is coming back in 2018 for its 35th anniversary this autumn. Every effort has been made to perfectly recreate this iconic bike with the components still available today. Manufactured by Tange, the same factory who brought you the original, some replica components have even been painstaking reproduced to keep the bike as close to the original as possible.

The classic deep chrome frameset with black finishing components still looks as great today as it did when it was originally released; we’ve even managed to replicate the translucent dark copper decals! Plus we’ve thrown in a custom pad set too.

With such an iconic bike we knew the project would be popular and people would love to own their favourite childhood bike again. So we thought - why not do it again? Give the people what they want! So we've revived the Chrome Aero Pro Burner, as close to the spec as possible so you can enjoy the bike like you used too."
