Cycle to Work

Get your dream bike for less by taking advantage of one of our cycle-to-work schemes, saving you up to 42% on a brand new set of wheels.

What is a cycle to work scheme?

A cycle-to-work scheme is a government initiative that aims to encourage more people to start cycling to work. By allowing you to get a brand new bike and any chosen cycling accessories tax-free, you can save up to 42% on a bike model of your choice.

How does the cycle to work scheme work?

Taking part in one of our cycle-to-work schemes couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is choose a scheme, choose your bike, get your employer on board and spread the cost by making monthly repayments, which are automatically deducted from your salary.

To get your hands on a Raleigh bike, you have two options to choose from: Electric Bike Access or Cyclescheme. You can find details of these two schemes below.

Cyclescheme is an employee benefit that saves you up to 52% on the bike and accessories of your choice. You pay absolutely nothing upfront, and the cost is deducted tax-efficiently from your salary every month by your employer.

How do I get a bike?

Your easy step guide to getting a bike through Cyclescheme...

  1. Is your employer signed up?
To get a bike through Cyclescheme, your employer needs to be signed up to the scheme. If your employer is not signed up, or you are not sure, speak to your manager or HR department, and direct them to this site. You can also invite your employer to join.

  2. Find a bike & request a certificate online
Shop online to find you ideal bike and accessories, use the calculator tool to discover how much you could save and find the right package for you.
Request your secure certificate online. Go to your employer's special Cyclescheme web address to request your certificate and digitally sign your salary sacrifice agreement. If you are not sure what this is, ask your manager or Cyclescheme administrator.
We will ask your employer to confirm your eligibility and approve your request, and then send them an invoice for the bike package. As soon as the invoice is paid, we will send you your printed certificate, which you email to to exchange for a bike and equipment.
Remember that you can track your request at any time by clicking on My Cyclescheme.

  3. How does payment work?
Your Salary Sacrifice deductions will commence and are deducted from your salary each month for 12 months. The Salary Sacrifice is taken from your Gross Salary and you make your savings in your Net salary by not paying Income Tax, PRSI and USC on the cost of the bike package over the agreed Salary Sacrifice period.
