Adding items into the shopping basket
Once you have found the product you wish to purchase you can add it into your shopping
basket by clicking the add button. More than one add button indicates there is more
than one size available. Click on the buy button adjacent to the size you require.
For more help on sizing click
here. If you require more than one of your chosen
product click the buy button again to add a second and third etc.
Amending the shopping basket
Whilst you are searching round the Raleigh website you will see a handy basket on
the right hand side. You can add and amend quantities of items already added by
clicking the + and – signs. Click the – sign when you have one left to remove from
the shopping basket completely.

Pricing
|
|
|
Prices charged will be the ruling price at time of placing orders.
Prices are only firm when the order has been confirmed.
All prices include VAT where applicable (Current Rate 17.5% 1/1/04)
We reserve the right to amend prices dependent upon market forces. (Upwards or Downwards).
VAT
All prices include VAT where applicable at the UK rate of 17.5%. Although customers
from the Channel Islands do not have to pay VAT, we are unable to deduct it from
the order so we will collect it and pass it on to Customs and Excise in the normal
way.
Special Offers
At any one time we may have 2 types of special offers:
- Limited Time period – these will be shown with an offer end date and after this
time the items will revert back to normal Retail Prices. The price you pay is that
which is confirmed at time of order confirmation not delivery. In the event that
we run out of stock before the offer ends the item will be removed from sale and
if you have placed an order that we cannot fulfil we will try and offer you an alternative
or refund your money.
- While Stocks Last – these items will stay at the reduced price until all stock has
been sold.
New Products
At any time we may have New Products categorised into 2 types:
- Coming Soon – These items are not yet in Stock and will be advertised on our site
prior to our first deliveries arriving. You will not be able to order this item
until it comes into stock
- Just Arrived – These items are in stock and available to order in the normal way.
End of Line Stock
In the event that we run out of stock after your order has been confirmed on an
item that is end of line, we will try and offer you an alternative or refund your
money.

The shopping basket |
|
|
You can get to the shopping basket by using the jump menu dropdown in the top right
hand corner, there is a button in the handy basket on the right hand side of most
screens, or there is a link from the details page of every item. The shopping basket
is the place to review your order. You can still amend your order here, go back
and have a further look around the catalogue. Your items will stay in the shopping
basket until you return to the Raleigh website.

|
The checkout |
|
|
To start the checkout process you must be in the shopping basket.
Click on the checkout button.
The first stage is to select where you want your purchases delivered. Click on the
map to select.
The second stage is to select a retail partner (except Ireland) by
entering the delivery postcode and clicking ok. This allows you to create a retail
partner who can advise on any warranty issues should they arise. Once the list of
possible dealers has appeared click on details. From here click select to choose this dealer as your
retail partner.
Choosing a delivery option
You will need to enter the name of the person receiving or collecting the
bike at this stage and the address if you are having home delivery. Then click on
the appropriate button to select your preferred delivery option.
You will now need to confirm your billing address. Your billing address must
match the address to which your credit/debit card is registered. Click on confirm to move to the
next stage.
We ask for a telephone number should we or your retail partner need to contact you
(for example to tell you your bike is ready). We also ask for your email address
to send your order and payment confirmation.
Direct Home Delivery Or Collect In Store
We do 2 types of delivery
- Direct home delivery - Direct home delivery means your purchases will be sent
direct to your door. If you choose to receive a bike using this method please note
it will not be fully assembled. You will be responsible for assembling, and safety
checking your bike. (click here for assembly instructions)
- Collect in store - You may not want to assemble your bike and check it for safety.
We have a network of independent cycle shops across the country who are experts
at setting up bikes. The professionals there will assemble your bike, check it and
make sure it is set up, safe and ready to ride. All free of charge. When your bike
is ready the store will contact you, on the email address or telephone number you
have provided, to arrange a convenient time for you to come in and collect your
purchases. For security reasons you must bring along your order confirmation before
the retailer will let you take your purchases. The retailer will either stamp or
give you a dated receipt to acknowledge that your purchases have been collected.
If you are unable to print off the confirmation you will be required to take the
order number along with proof of identification.
Confirming your order
This is the last screen before payment, and your last chance to go back and make
changes to your order. Click on proceed to payment to go to our secure payment
site.
Final confirmation
If your payment is successful, you will be redirected to the on screen order confirmation.
You will also be sent a copy via email. At this stage you will be given a unique order number which you will need for any correspondence with us. If you selected
collect in store you will need your order confirmation when you pick up your purchases.
You can either print out the order confirmation page or the email you receive.
